Robert Reich's Five Point Plan for the 2026 Election
I bantor the word around like I know what it means. Truth is that I don’t actually know what it means. I know what I think it means, but I don’t really know what it means.
Whatever it is, whatever I’ve heard about it, whatever and whoever I associate with it, I don’t think I like it.
My way of describing it in simple terms, is that the people that I associate with it are mean spirited, immoral, self serving or selfish or at worst, narcissistic. Other words that come to mind are brutal, heartless, and greedy with a tendency to lie, cheat, break the law, conflate truth with whatever it is that they believe. Did I mention rude, crude and inhumane and criminal? Let me add hypocritical.
And probably worst of all, they disinform people to gain a political power base and keep them in line. Corporate interests, especially those in the Tech Sector of the U.S. and global economies, were early sellouts to exhibit the qualities mentioned in the previous paragraph.
People like Lip-Bu Tan, CEO of Intel, META CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia,, Lisa Su, CEO of AMD and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai all of whom run big technology companies in Silicon Valley have, in the words of Max Taves from the Bay Area News Group, “capitulated to Trump extortion.”
What makes the sellout of the Tech giants so important is that they hold the reins of the information that we are all fed. Information that, if not countered, becomes the truth because that is all we get. Watch Fox News, News Max or OAM and that trash becomes the “truth.” The internet folks get to be the gatekeepers.
Case in point. This week, at the request of Attorney General Pam Bondi, a Facebook page used to identify and target I.C.E agents was removed because it “could endanger law enforcement officers.”
"This incident is part of a larger trend where major tech companies, including Apple and Google, have faced pressure to remove apps and content that could endanger law enforcement officials. Recently, Apple removed the ICEBlock app, which allowed users to report sightings of ICE agents, following similar concerns raised by the DOJ."

Imagine if a Democrat had dared to attack free speech like that.
Listen to the pig squeal.
Dr. Timothy Snyder’s book “On Tyranny,” presents twenty lessons form the Twentieth Century to face and deal with Tyranny, another word for Fascist.
Snyder’s very first lesson is Do Not Obey in Advance. What did those seven Tech Execs do? They caved in advance.
Is it because they only care about how their businesses do and how much money they make? Is it because they would have fewer agencies and watchdogs hounding them with cumbersome regulations to help protect consumers, is it because they like Trump, is it because they like government sponsored thugs pulling innocent people out of their homes, off busses, out of their work places? Or do they just like shiny, sparkling things like gold?
Is it because their tax bills will be lower if they didn’t have to pay for those worthless government employees or provide health care for those of us that can’t self fund? Or educate the masses that would someday challenge their privilege?
I suspect that I have the answer to that question, but one things is crystal ******* clear. These people are looking out for a very small group of wealthy corporations, or should I say “people” as they are called courtesy of the Supreme Court’s “Citizens United” decision.
It’s a good thing that this current round of Fascists are as incompetent at being Fascists as they are. It’s the gang that can’t shoot straight or better yet, the circular firing squad that they often seem to be lined up in.
And to my MAGA friends that might be reading this, they are after you too. You are now disposable. You got them elected and now they could care less about you. Take the Epstein Files for example. You’d like those out in public wouldn’t you? Do like that affordable health care? It comes courtesy of the very same government that the current administration is trying to eviscerate. These rich technocrats don’t care about the planet, they don’t fare about your health care or education. It’s not just Liberals and Democrats. It’s anyone that are not one of these Citizen’s United “people.”
The only thing they care about is electricity. Having enough electricity to power their AI gamble.
If I sound angry, I am. It’s ok to be angry. It’s how you channel that anger that make you a either a blithering idiot or a part of the solution. Be a part of the solution.
On the Bright Side

If you are a Californian, vote yes on Proposition 50. Prop 50 is California’s response to Trump’s efforts to gerrymander Congressional districts in Texas to help assure that Republican’s win the House of Representatives in the 2026 mid-term elections. The reason this is on the bright side is it represents a tacit acknowledgment that there will indeed BE an election in 2026.

Hopefully you can laugh at these.

And finally,
