  1. He was overshadowed during his playing days. There were so many flashier players that he slipped in under the radar of many of us. Guys like Willy Mays got much more attention, but Aaron outdid the statistics of even Mays.

    Maybe it was playing in Milwaukee and Atlanta that limited his exposure. Too bad for us that we didn’t see more of this man’s playing skills. What we have seen in his post playing days is the kind of human being that he became. The end of his playing days was the beginning of building of his legacy as a true humanitarian and role model for all of us.
